SUWANEE - In celebration of Arbor Day this year, the City of Suwanee is going big - really big.
Rather than planting several young trees, the city plans to plant two 20-25 foot Oaks at City Hall Park.
City Planner Josh Campbell says Suwanee lost three large Oaks in the park to disease over the past couple of years - and the shade that came with them.
He says they want instant shade and will have a professionals plant trees over the next few weeks that already have trunks 6-to-8 inches in diameter.
