Hawks' Smith finishes last in dunk competition

HOUSTON - Five-foot-nine Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks edged Philadelphia's Andre Iguodala to win the slam-dunk competition at NBA's All-Star skills competition.

Defending champion Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks finished last in this year's competition.

One of Robinson's slam dunks came with an assist from Spud Webb, a former NBA dunking champion. Robinson dunked over a standing Webb while throwing down the jam.

Dwyane Wade won the Skills Challenge The Miami star edged LeBron James and dethroned Steve Nash by deftly negotiating a basketball obstacle course.

Dirk Nowitzki won the long-distance shootout competition. The Dallas star edged Washington's Gilbert Arenas and Seattle's Ray Allen.

Tony Parker, Steve Kerr and San Antonio Star Kendra Wecker won the Shooting Stars competition in record time, hitting six shots from various spots in 25 seconds.
