CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) Mark Weber and Frank Cignetti are on the same sideline once again.
Cignetti left Fresno State last month to become the offensive coordinator at North Carolina. On Thursday, Weber, who also was at Fresno State, joined Cignetti in Chapel Hill as offensive line coach.
Weber takes over for Hal Hunter, who accepted a job with the N-F-L's San Diego Chargers earlier this month. Cignetti called Weber to gauge his interest in the position after Hunter departed. Weber says a meeting with coach John Bunting sold him on making the move.
The latest hiring leaves one vacancy on U-N-C's staff. Brad Lawing, who coached U-N-C's defensive ends and was the program's recruiting coordinator, left Monday for a job on Steve Spurrier's staff at South Carolina.
Bunting says he hopes to have his staff complete by the start of spring practice, which begins March third.
