The Envirothon is North America's premier educational competition for high school
students. Competitors receive classroom instruction and hands-on experience in the fi eld before competing in regional and state competitions.
"We're excited to see so many teams entering the competition this year." Carmon said.
Regional competitions will be held in early March at five sites around the state, including Amicaloa Falls State Park in Dawsonville.
In addition to Riverside, other schools from northeast Georgia that will participate are Jackson, Lumpkin, Stephens and Union county high schools and two teams from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.
