Gwinnett County firefighters got the call about 8:20 and responded to a report of a fire in the store, which is on Satellite Boulevard.
Fire department spokesman Thomas Rutledge said firefighters found a rack of clothing in the women's section that was burned but the fire was out when they arrived. An assistant store manager put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. A customer reportedly discovered the fire and, at first, tried to put it out by pulling clothes from the rack, suffering minor burns to his hands in doing so. He was treated at the scene by EMTs.
The fire damaged 30-40 pieces of clothing, according to Rutledge.
The store was not evacuated and remained open.
