Jones, Wright win weekly ACC honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Mike Jones of Maryland is the player of the week in the Atlantic Coast Conference after making a school record nine 3-pointers in a single game last week.<br> <br> Jones, a guard, also added five rebounds and three assists in the 101-50 win against Missouri-Kansas City last Wednesday. Jones missed his first three shots of the game before making nine consecutive 3-pointers and scoring a career-high 27 points.<br> <br> Brandan Wright of North Carolina won the league&#39;s rookie award for the third time this season after scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds during Saturdays 93-62 win over UNC Asheville. Wright leads all ACC freshmen with nearly 16 points a game.
