Rich-SeaPak changes name to Rich Products Corp.

<p>One of the world's largest family-owned food companies will change its name with the new year.</p><p>Rich-SeaPak Corp. will become Rich Products Corp., company officials said. The company has annual sales of more than $2.4 billion.</p><p>The Rich family acquired SeaPak Corp. in 1976 and combined the family's name with the frozen seafood products company to form Rich-SeaPak.</p><p>"We have been part of the Rich Products family for 30 years, so officially taking the Rich's name and highly recognizable identity makes sense," said Jack Kilgore, Rich-SeaPak group president.</p><p>But all product names will be the same, spokeswoman Jamie McKeon said.</p><p>The company will continue to make and sell SeaPak, FarmRich, Casa DiBertacchi, Battistoni and WorldCatch products, McKeon said.</p><p>Rich Products was founded 61 years ago; SeaPak was founded in 1948. It employs 130 people in its St. Simons Island, Ga. office, 320 people at its Brunswick, Ga., FarmRich plant and another 60 at its Waycross, Ga., FarmRich plant.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x1cd9a1c)</p>
