SWAT team kills barricaded suspect

<p>Gwinnett County SWAT team members fatally shot a slaying suspect barricaded in his home after he raised a pistol in a three-hour standoff Tuesday, Sheriff Butch Conway said.</p><p>The 27-year-old man, who was not identified immediately, was a suspect in neighboring DeKalb County in the death of his best friend on Saturday, Conway said.</p><p>The sheriff said he barricaded himself inside his garage when DeKalb County deputies tried to serve a warrant, and the SWAT team was called.</p><p>Officers used an armored personnel carrier to break a garage door after negotiations failed and the suspect would not respond to repeated calls, Conway said.
