Kennesaw St. 78, Alabama St. 72

<p>Shuan Stegall recorded a double-double, leading Kennesaw State to a 78-72 win over Alabama State in the consolation game of the Dr Pepper Classic on Saturday.</p><p>Stegall scored 29 points, going 9-for-11 from the free throw line, and grabbed 14 rebounds, including 10 defensive rebounds.</p><p>Ronell Wooten added another 27 points including six 3-pointers for Kennesaw State (4-10).</p><p>Moses Edun and Richard Lott Jr. both had 13 points for Alabama State (2-9), and Lott led the team in rebounding with eight grabs.</p><p>Tremayne Moorer came off the Alabama State bench to score 12 points, and starter Joel Bosh also contributed 10 points.</p><p>Kennesaw State held its largest lead of 11 points with 11:49 in the first half and led 36-30 at the half.</p><p>Kennesaw State lost to Chattanooga 83-67 Friday in the first round of the tournament, and Alabama State lost to Colorado State 61-56 in the opening round.</p>
