GAINESVILLE - A delagation of Chinese government trainees are visiting the Gainesville area Wednesday and Thursday.

They are here as part of a cooperative training program operated by the University of Georgia's International Center for Democracy.

Planned stops include the Truelove Dairy Farm, the Hall County Courthuse Annex, the Georgia Poultry Lab in Oakwood, the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and the Hall County Health Department.

They visited the Northeast Georgia History Center Tuesday night.

"I think that the cross-cultural phase is beneficial to both the Chinese delegates and to our staff," remarks Phil Sutton, Hall County Assistant Administrator. "There may be differences in our governments, but there are similarities in the daily issues we confront. Meeting face to face allows us to better appreciate and respect each other."
