FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Students at the University of Arkansas who want to be a part of every second of Tennessee-Arkansas game and the surrounding pageantry are off to a good start.

The first tent went up Monday night outside Razorback Stadium in advance of the matchup between No. 11 Arkansas and No. 13 Tennessee. Since then, the line has grown. The university is supervising and local companies are donating meals to the students.

``I've waited my whole life for something like this. This is the biggest game I've been a part of and I was not going to miss it for anything, so that's why I am here,'' junior Clark Smith said.

Arkansas (8-1, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) is the only team undefeated in the SEC and is atop the Western Division standings. Tennessee (7-2, 3-2) can't advance to the SEC Championship game but is playing to win an invitation to an attractive bowl.

The excitement is giving students at the Fayetteville campus a different look at university life.

``Everyone gets along here. If you have to leave someone will watch your tent,'' said Lane Ferguson, also a junior.

The game, with a 6 p.m. Central Time kickoff, will be televised by ESPN2. The network is staging its pre-game college football show, College Game Day, on the campus, a first for the UA. The outdoor stage typically draws a crowd of rowdy students.

Major Steve Gahagans of the university police department said the Arkansas State Police will bring in up to 15 extra troopers and area police agencies will contribute another 150 officers.

University police Lt. Gary Crain said traffic congestion and public intoxication are main concerns.

``Since the kickoff is at 6 p.m., people will have had more time to drink,'' he said. ``That means we might have more arrests than usual. For instance, we only had one arrest during our last home game that was during the day. But during the USC game, we had 25 arrests. ``

Smith said his biggest concern is absorbing all the atmosphere he can and remembering it.

``Forever. I'm never going to forget this. I took a whole roll of film for the (Southern California) game and I am sure I will take so many more this week. I'm never going to forget this,'' Smith said.
