Gladiators forward Brad Schell leads ECHL in scoring

DULUTH - Gwinnett forward Brad Schell continues to rack up points for the Gladiators as he leads the ECHL in scoring with 24 points on the season. Schell had five points (1g, 4a) last week for Gwinnett. The Scott, Saskatchewan native has recorded 8 multiple point games for the Gladiators this season.

Gladiators rookie forward Colton Fretter collected 3 goals this week, 2 against Texas on Friday night, and continues to lead all ECHL Rookies in goals scored this season. The Harrow, Ontario, native has 9 goals on the season for the Gladiators including a 4-goal game for Gwinnett against South Carolina on October 29th.

The Gladiators have five players averaging over a-point-a-game this season. Eleven games into the season, Brad Schell, Jeff Campbell, Colton Fretter, Jon Awe and Scott Mifsud are each averaging a point a game for Gwinnett. Schell is averaging over two points a game for Gwinnett while Joel Stepp (9 points in 10 games) and Mike Vigilante (10 points in 11 games) are just shy of a point a game.

Rookie forwards Bruce Mulherin and Brandon Kaleniecki each posted their first professional point of the season. Kaleniecki had an assist in the Gladiators 5-4 overtime loss at South Carolina on Tuesday night. Mulherin collected an assist in Gwinnett's 3-1 loss to the Texas Wildcatters on Saturday night. Every player, except the goaltenders, have registered at least one point for Gwinnett this season.

Netminder Dave Caruso ranks in the top 20 in the ECHL among netminders in save percentage. The Roswell, Georgia native has posted a .910 save percentage for the Gladiators in four games. He has posted a 2-1-1 record in those four starts for Gwinnett and was called up to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL from October 28th though November 6th.
