Small plane crashes in Georgia, killing three

<p>A small plane with four people aboard crashed at an airfield in Georgia after apparently hitting some power lines shortly after takeoff, killing three people and injuring another, authorities said.</p><p>The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m.</p><p>A police official, Carmen Hipp, said it occurred at Berry Hill Airport, which is near several residential neighborhoods. According to Kathleen Bergen, an FAA spokeswoman, local authorities say three people were killed and one was injured. Hipp confirmed the death toll.</p><p>Bergen said the small aircraft apparently hit some power lines immediately after takeoff.</p><p>Henry County sheriff's Lt. Randy Moore said officials were still gathering details, and he did not know what caused the crash or the exact circumstances. Hipp said she did not know where the plane was heading.</p><p>"There's a good chance some of the plane ended up in somebody's yard because everything's in close proximity," Hipp said.</p>
