The orthopaedic surgeons - Dr. Donald Willers, Dr. Harry Ferran, Dr. Michael Gottsman, Dr. Barry Munn and Dr. Derek Moore - specialize in operative and non-operative treatment of orthopaedic and sports related conditions.
Dr. Willers, senior partner of Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, said, "Our first concern is always the well-being of our patients. We would not have considered this merger if Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and The Longstreet Clinic did not share the same commitment to quality patient care and service to the community."
Dr. Allen Butts, President of The Longstreet Clinic, said, "It is our goal to make thus transition as smooth as possible for the Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine patients, employees and physicians. This merger is a significant decision and we welcome Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine to The Longstreet Clinic."
Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine patients are being notified of the merger. Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine will continue to see patients in their offices located at 655 Jesse Jewell Parkway and in Braselton at the Braselton Clinic.
Established in 1973, Northeast Georgia Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine serves patients in 14 counties in the region. The Longstreet Clinic, incorporated in 1994, is an integrated multi-specialty group owned and managed by physicians.
