Wachovia reports Deposit Market Share gain

GAINESVILLE - Wachovia Bank reports pulling to within .76% of Regions for top place in the Deposit Market Share among banks in Gainesville/Hall County.

Wachovia says that compared to 2005 when it was a full four percent behind Regions.

According to Wachovia, the Deposit Market Share of all banks in Gainesville/Hall County is as follows:

Regions 23.34%
Wachovia 21.58%
GB&T 17.77%
United Community 8.87%
SunTrust 6.16%
BB&T 6.14%
Bank of America 5.39%
Community Bank & Trust 2.58%
Peach State Bank & Trust 2.29%
Hamilton State 1.73%
Park Avenue Bank 1.35%
National Bank of Gainesville 1.24%
First National Bank of Forsyth County 1.23%
Brand Banking Co. 1.05%
National Bank of Georgia 0.17%
Washington Mutual Bank 0.11%
