<p>With four straight wins, Kentucky is playing like a team headed toward the Top 25.</p><p>With four straight losses, Georgia Tech coach MaChelle Joseph is worried about where her team might land.</p><p>Jennifer Humphrey and Eleia Roddy combined for 27 points and 15 rebounds and Kentucky protected its lead at the free-throw line in the final minute to beat Georgia Tech 66-62 Sunday.</p><p>Georgia Tech led much of the game before faltering late as Kentucky took advantage of its edge in rebounding and free-throw shooting. The Wildcats took a 46-33 advantage in rebounds and outscored the Yellow Jackets 23-10 at the free-throw line.</p><p>Kentucky (13-3 overall, 2-1 Southeastern Conference), it is off to its best start since a 13-2 mark in the 1981-82 season.</p><p>"I think our players had a lot of poise down the stretch, which for the last couple of years we haven't had that," said Kentucky coach Mickie DeMoss. "I think we've grown up a lot in the last two to three weeks."</p><p>Kentucky made 5 of 6 free throws in the final minute to protect the lead.</p><p>Humphrey had 14 points and eight rebounds and Roddy added 13 points and seven rebounds.</p><p>Georgia Tech (11-5 overall, 0-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) suffered its fourth straight loss.</p><p>"Definitely, we're concerned about it," Joseph said. "We really believe we're just right there with anybody. We can't sit around and feel sorry for ourselves. We've got North Carolina next."</p><p>Tech visits No. 4 North Carolina Wednesday.</p><p>Janie Mitchell and Jill Ingram each had 12 points for Tech.</p><p>Roddy scored the first points of the game, but 2-0 was the Wildcats' last lead until the 16:27 mark of the second half. A three-point play by Carly Ormerod gave Kentucky a 38-36 lead.</p><p>There were five ties before a key three-point play by Jenny Pfeiffer gave Kentucky a 57-55 lead with 4:47 left to play. Kasha Terry, Tech's most effective inside player, fouled out on the play.</p><p>"Obviously that was a huge loss for us," Joseph said. "That's been a problem all year for us, Terry getting in foul trouble."</p><p>Terry left with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds.</p><p>Another drive by Ormerod gave Kentucky a 61-57 lead, but Tech pulled back to within 61-60 on a basket by Ingram.</p><p>Kentucky's Roddy and Pfeiffer each made two free throws, pushing the lead to 65-60.</p><p>Kentucky, second in the SEC in 3-point shooting percentage (40.4), was 1-for-7 on 3-point attempts.</p><p>The loss left Tech 5-43 all-time against SEC teams.</p><p>Later Sunday, No. 13 Georgia was to play Miami in the second SEC-ACC matchup in the fifth annual Russell Athletic Shootout. The event was held at the Gwinnett Center, the site of the 2007 SEC women's tournament.</p>
