CLARKESVILLE - A Habersham County man - arrested nearly three years ago in what's described as the largest Ectasy drug ring ever uncovered in the Southeast - has been given a three-year prison sentence.

36-year-old Craig McMurtry of Baldwin was one of eighteen people arrested in a case prosecutors say involved almost 95,000 doses of the drug worth nearly two million dollars.

The ringleader, 35-year-old Stephens Ashley House, of Kennesaw has been sentenced to seventeen years in prison.

The investigation into the Netherlands-to-Atlanta operation led authorities into Canada, Germany and Denmark as well.
