Last May, the White County Water Authority informed Hall County it could no longer provide water to Hall County customers and stopped installing new water meters.
Howe said White County will lose quite a bit of revenue each month. He said the only way the county can compensate will be increased water rates as well as holding the line on personnel at the water authority.
The water authority has been able to use the revenue from water pipe installation and sell of water to Hall County to help build water system infrastructure, but now it will have to rely only on the revenue generated from customers in White County while at the same time working to increase the customer base by adding more water lines.
