GAINESVILLE - The Hall County YMCA earned two million dollars in revenue for the 2003 Fiscal Year, according to a report in The NonProfit Times.

For the second year in a row, the country's YMCAs - as a whole - are ranked number one among all non-profit agencies, according to the report.

"Hall County YMCA is honored and proud that our organization ranked so high
on these prestigious lists," said Mike Brown, Chief Executive Officer, Hall
County YMCA "This accomplishment clearly demonstrates there is strength in
our numbers, and our ability to serve Hall County and the nation."

"These accolades speak volumes about the respected, charitable nature of the
YMCA movement, and also shine a spotlight on the generosity of the Hall
County YMCA's 300 volunteers and donors who commit their invaluable time,
energy and financial support to help strengthen kids, families and
communities," Tom Johnston, Chief Volunteer Officer said.

"We invite all members of the Hall County community to visit the Hall County
YMCA to learn more about the variety of volunteer opportunities and
programs available, including after-school care, mobile gym outreach, 21st
century learning centers, youth sports, day camps, and our newest facility
project.

Despite the fact that all YMCAs are independent, autonomous and managed by
local, volunteer-based boards of directors, they all strive to model core
values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

"We're eager to showcase the unique ways YMCAs build strong character and
strong kids, families and communities, and we look forward to giving the
Hall County community a firsthand look at the nation's premiere charitable
organization."

The Hall County YMCA currently serves 1400 children per day in after-school
in 25 county and city schools, 2,000 children per year in seasonal youth
sports, 500 children in community service initiatives, 400 children in
summer camp programs and raises more than $200,000 annually to provide
financial assistance in each of these mentioned programs.

The YMCA is currently working to build a 44,000-square-foot facility on
Howard Road/365 which will add many additional family programs including
wellness, aerobics, aquatics, pre-school, senior adult programs, and more.

The YMCA plans to break ground in late October.
