Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl said yesterday that Jemere Hendrix was off the team. He said he was disappointed in the decisions Hendrix has made and that he's NOT lived up to the school's expectations for student-athletes.
The senior forward was charged with marijuana possession and driving without a license last month in Covington.
Hendrix was arrested August 13.
Hendrix, who is from Covington, walked on at Tennessee after leaving Clemson with a foot injury in 2002. Last season, he played in 28 games including three starts -- averaging 2-point-6 points and 2-point-7 rebounds.
