WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) When Matt Robinson was growing up, he spent his weekends watching college football games especially the championship-winning Nebraska teams of the 1980s and '90s.
Now Robinson, a starting defensive end, and his Wake Forest teammates get a chance to play against the storied Cornhuskers program in Lincoln.
Saturday's game is also an opportunity for Wake Forest to bounce back from its season-opening 24-20 loss to Vanderbilt.
The Demon Deacons got a career-high 254 yards rushing from sophomore Micah Andrews, but suffered their seventh loss by a seven points or less in the last two seasons.
The biggest cause for concern could be the health of two starting linebackers. Jon Abbate, who led Wake Forest in tackles last season, has a pulled hamstring. Junior Pierre Easley has a pulled groin muscle. Both are listed as questionable.
