Florida A-and-M cited for lack of institutional control

UNDATED (AP) The N-C-A-A has cited Florida A-and-M for a lack of institutional control.<br> <br> The N-C-A-A conducted an investigation that found rampant violations regarding student-athlete eligibility and a failure by former football coach Billy Joe to adequately monitor his program. Most of the violations occurred under former compliance director Jonathan Evans, who&#39;s no longer at the school.<br> <br> The N-C-A-A&#39;s notice of allegations listed 184 instances since 1998 in which A-and-M athletes were allowed to play without meeting eligibility requirements.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
