Dedication for spruced-up Bobby Gruhn Field Friday night

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville High is going all-out for the first game of the new football season Friday night - against Buford - which will be played on new turf at a renovated Bobby Gruhn Field at City Park.

Work on the field began in January and was completed a few weeks ago.

Activities surrounding the the game include a Red Elephant Tailgate Party, 5-7 p.m., catered by The Varsity, and an Elephant Walk, at 5:45, featuring music,cheerleaders and players - both in front of Green Street Pool.

There will be a dedication of the renovated field at halftime.
