In the first game of the doubleheader Chestatee (2-0) dominated, beating the Lady Vikings (2-0) 13-3.
Sarah Applegarth pitched a great game for Chestatee to give them their first win of the season.
Chestatee's Danette Irvin pitched just as well in the second game as the Lady War Eagles won by the same identical score of 13-3.
In the second game East Hall stayed in the game until the 5th inning when Chestatee went onto score 9 runs to end the game by the 10 run rule.
With the score 4-3 and Chestatee leading, the Lady War Eagles came to bat in the 5th and Jessica Paige lead the inning off with a walk and then stole second.
The next batter Kayla Taylor singled to score Paige to make it 5-3. Then Terri Armour and Laura Howington walked with one out to load the bases. Irvin then singled in both Taylor and Armour to increase Chestatee's lead to 7-3. Whitney Owings then walked to load the bases.
Then Applegarth walked to score Howington and make it 8-3. Robin Forest doubled to score 2 more runs for the Lady War Eagles. Whitney Owings then scored on an error to make it 11-3.
Forest then scored on a wild pitch to give Chestatee a 12-3 lead. With the bases loaded Howington then bunted to score Paige from third to end the game and give Chestatee the win.
The losing pitcher for the Lady Vikings was Sha Jones who had pitched a great game through the first 4 nnings before Chestatee got to her in the 5th.
Chestatee's top hitters were Sarah Applegarth who went 3-4 with an RBI, Robin Forest was 2-4 with 3 RBI's, Laura Howington was 2-3 with 2 runs and Julie Garchild was 2-3 with 2 runs.
East Hall's best batters were Noel Cla who was 1-2 with 2 RBI's and Sha Jones was 1-2 with a run.
