They did so even though they lost Thursday's game to Canada, 10-6. It was Canada's first win of the series which started Sunday.
Habersham (Georgia USS) will square off against Iowa Friday for a chance at Saturday's championship game. The other semi-final matchup has New Jersey pitted against Hawaii.
Canada dominated Thursday's game, scoring four runs in the top of the first and six in the fifth inning. Habersham staged a late comeback but it was too little, too late, and its series record dropped to 2-2.
First baseman/pitcher Caleb Vermilya went 2-for-4 to lead Habersham hitting. Vermilya pitched the last 2-1/3 innings in relief of starter Stan Brantley.
