Mississippi State lineman to have back surgery

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) Mississippi State offensive tackle James Redmond will miss three-to-six weeks because of disc damage in his back, coach Sylvester Croom said Thursday.<br> <br> Croom said Redmond, a 6-foot-7, 301-pound junior from Decatur, Ga., is expected to have back surgery Friday.
