Weekend drowning in Fannin County

BLUE RIDGE - One person died from drowning near Blue Ridge Sunday afternoon.<br> <br> Reportedly a group of people were swimming in Lake Blue Ridge Sunday afternoon when the victim went under.<br> <br> &#34;This 22-year-old gentlemen did not come out of the water,&#34; said Fannin County Sheriff Lt. W.L. Panter.<br> <br> He added he was found in just a few minutes but died later at a local hospital.<br> <br> <br> The Georgia News Network contributed to this story.
