Madden, Wright are Hall of Fame finalists

CANTON, Ohio (AP) Former Oakland Raiders coach John Madden and Rayfield Wright, who was a premiere offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, have been nominated as finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.<br> <br> The two will be joined by 13 other candidates from the modern era. The vote for election takes place February fourth, the day before the Super Bowl in Detroit.<br> <br> Four to six from that group of 15 will be elected to next year&#39;s class.<br> <br> Before becoming one of the N-F-L&#39;s best-known television personalities, Madden coached the Raiders between 1969 and 1978. His .739 winning percentage is second among coaches with 100 or more wins behind Vince Lombardi at .750.
