Madden, Wright are Hall of Fame finalists

CANTON, Ohio (AP) Former Oakland Raiders coach John Madden and Rayfield Wright, who was a premiere offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, have been nominated as finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.<br>

The two will be joined by 13 other candidates from the modern era. The vote for election takes place February fourth, the day before the Super Bowl in Detroit.<br>
<br>
Four to six from that group of 15 will be elected to next year's class.<br>
<br>
Before becoming one of the N-F-L's best-known television personalities, Madden coached the Raiders between 1969 and 1978. His .739 winning percentage is second among coaches with 100 or more wins behind Vince Lombardi at .750. Madden won one Super Bowl.<br>
<br>
Wright played for the Cowboys from 1967 to 1979 and was on two Super Bowl winners.<br>
