Top-seeded Kenyan not granted visa for Peachtree Road Race

ATLANTA (AP) John Korir, the 2001 champion and 2004 runner-up in the 10-kilometer Peachtree Road Race, was not granted a visa and will be unable to compete in Monday&#39;s race, race officials said Friday.<br> <br> Korir, from Kenya, would have been the top seed, according to Atlanta Track Club spokeswoman Elizabeth Unislawski.<br> <br> John C. Korir, also from Kenya, will tentatively move up as the top seed.<br> <br> Another Kenyan, Susan Chepkemei, the 2004 women&#39;s division champion, also will be unable to defend her title due to visa problems, according to Unislawski.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
