Cornelia woman named to state panel

ATLANTA - A Habersham County woman has been named to the state's Children and Youth Coordinating Council.

Barbara Woods Strain, 52, Cornelia will serve as an at-large member of the council.

Strain is retired from Shield Realty where she served as co-owner and broker and has extensive experience in the education field, including several years with the Ninth District Headstart program.

The appointment was made by the governor.
