Former N-F-L star becomes head coach

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Former Denver Broncos defensive tackle Rubin Carter has been picked to help fix things at Florida A-and-M. He&#39;ll be introduced as the school&#39;s head football coach tomorrow. He&#39;s been Temple&#39;s defensive line coach the past 16 months.<br> <br> Carter replaces Billy Joe, who was fired last month along with two assistants amid an ongoing cheating probe. Joe was 86-and-46 in eleven years at the school.<br> <br> A-and-M is in the midst of a school-wide funding crisis and an N-C-A-A investigation into 196 rule violations throughout the athletics program.<br> <br> Carter played on Denver&#39;s 1978 and 1987 Super Bowl teams.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
