One more season for Wisconsin's Alvarez

MADISON, Wis. (AP) Barry Alvarez says he&#39;ll coach Wisconsin&#39;s football team just one more year. He&#39;ll step down after the coming season and become the school&#39;s full-time athletic director. He&#39;s held both jobs since April of last year.<br> <br> The school plans a smooth transition. Alvarez says defensive coordinator Bret Bielema (BEE&#39;-leh-mah) will take over in 2006.<br> <br> Alvarez has a record of 108-70-and-4 during 15 seasons at Wisconsin. He&#39;s 7-and-3 in bowl games. Wisconsin had not been to a Rose Bowl since 1963 before he led them into the Rose Bowl in 1994.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
