Miss Georgia preliminaries get under way

<p>Miss Capital City, Kristen White of Stone Mountain, won the talent competition as preliminaries in the Miss Georgia Pageant got under way Wednesday at the Columbus RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.</p><p>White, 24, is a student at Darton College and a vocalist who sang "I Believe I Can Fly."</p><p>The swimsuit preliminary was won by Miss Spirit of Georgia, 23-year-old Blair Riley, a Georgia Southern University student from Dublin.</p><p>The evening wear winner was Miss Warner Robins, Amanda Kozak, a 20-year old Valdosta State student from Warner Robins.</p><p>Three nights of preliminaries will culminate with the crowning of Miss Georgia Saturday night in a contest televised statewide.</p>
