Ten communities share All-America City award

<p>Ten different communities were named co-winners in the All-American City awards ceremony Saturday night.</p><p>The chosen winners were: Seward, Alaska; Canoga Park, Calif.; Lauderhill, Fla.; Pompano Beach, Fla.; Port Huron, Mich.; Willmar, Minn.; Carrollton, Miss.; Georgetown County, S.C.; Orangeburg County, S.C.; Winchester, Va.</p><p>Among the 30 finalists, the top winners were awarded with a special plaque by the National Civic League. Each was honored for its success in community issues, including crime, education, poverty, housing and race relations.</p><p>"We wanted to win," said Neil Glezen, a spokesman for Athens-County County, Ga. "But it's our first time since 1968.
