Chattahoochee claims AAAAA title

MARIETTA - Matt McCarthy had three RBIs and Justin Holloway pitched five strong innings to help Chattahoochee beat Lassiter 10-4 in the GHSA Class AAAAA championship on Thursday.<br> <br> The teams had split a doubleheader on Wednesday, making the third game necessary.<br> <br> The Cougars (33-4) scored five runs in the first inning before the Trojans (29-10) could record an out. Holloway, who went 2-for-3, had an RBI.<br> <br> Lassiter stranded 10 baserunners, including two in the bottom of the sixth.<br> <br> John Goodin had a two-run homer for Lassiter.
