ATHENS, Greece (AP) Jamaica's Asafa Powell has broken the world record in the men's 100 meters. He was clocked in at nine-point-77 seconds at a Grand Prix track meet today in Athens, Greece. He clipped one-hundredth of a second off the nine-point-78 Tim Montgomery ran in Paris in 2002, although that time's in jeopardy because Montgomery faces doping charges. The previous record was nine-point-79 set by Maurice Greene in Athens in 1999.<br>
