Deal swearing-in Wednesday

GAINESVILLE - A swearing-in ceremony is planned in Atlanta Wednesday for the man tapped for a Superior Court judgeship in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit.

Jason Deal will be sworn in by Gov. Perdue at 9:30 in a ceremony at the State Capitol.

Deal, who is currently the District Attorney for the circuit, was appointed to the bench by Perdue May 26. He will replace John Girardeau who retired in March. The circuit includes Hall and Dawson counties.
