Potosnak named South Carolina assistant

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) Ken Potosnak, a former Wake Forest graduate assistant, has been hired as an assistant at South Carolina, coach Dave Odom said Friday.<br>

Potosnak worked under Odom at Wake Forest from 1990-1992.<br>
<br>
He replaces Ricky Stokes, who left for the head coaching position at East Carolina.<br>
<br>
``I have known Ken for over 15 years as both a player and a coach,'' Odom said. ``Ken is highly respected in the coaching profession as an excellent recruiter; he is a fine teacher and coach.''<br>
<br>
Before coming to South Carolina, Potosnak was an assistant at Furman for eight years. He also worked as an assistant at The Citadel for five seasons.<br>
<br>
He is a native of New Kensington, Pa.<br>
