Suspect in Gainesville man's murder in custody

LAWRENCEVILLE - A man wanted in connection with last week's murder of a 24-year-old Gainesville man is now in custody.

P.J. Blackwell was shot and killed about midnight Thursday at Quentin Michael Monday's residence at 210 Latimore Avenue in Buford and a lookout was immediately posted for him.

Gwinnett County Police said Monday that Monday turned himself in at the Gwinnett County Detention Center over the weekend. Investigators say, however, that Monday has declined to speak with them.
