Jennifer Adyorough fired an even-par 72 and teammate Amber Davis shot a 74 to lead Woodward Academy to its second straight Class AAAA girls' state golf championship Monday at Okefenokee Golf and Country Club.<br>

Woodward beat out host Ware County, which got Erica Still's 77 and an 80 by Alei Mitchell.<br>

Davis, a senior headed to the University of Virginia, won medalist honors last year and was runner up this year to Adyorough, a sophomore.<br>
<br>
Etowah won the boys' AAAA title with a total 299, one stroke ahead of Lakeside, with Bryan Alred paving the way with a 72, followed by 75s from J.P. Putnam and Joe Wagner and a 77 by Jordan Riner. The low individual score in that contest at Country Club of Columbus was Lakeside's Payne Kassinger at 69.<br>

At Cateechee Country Club near Lake Hartwell, Oconee County's Ryan Blue's 69 led his team to an AAA championship round of 301. Individual medallist was MacGregor Thompson of Burke County, with a 68, but his team finished in sixth place. Columbus was second with a 305, four strokes behind Oconee County.<br>

Patricia Kim of Columbus had a low round of 68 to lead her team to the Class AAA girls' championship, combining with teammate Carol So's 76 for a score of 144, four strokes ahead of Oconee County at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville.<br>

Lauren Darnell of two-time defending AAA champion and host Gainesville tied with Westminster's Megan Smith for second place with a 69, but the Red Elephants slipped to seventh place in team totals.<br>
<br>
In Class A boys, Athens Academy won the title with a 306, led by Whit Roper's 71. Roper was one stroke behind medalist Seth Parmer, who guided Bremen to a second-place finish with a total of 313 on the Henderson Golf Club course in Savannah.<br>
