GAINESVILLE - Northeast Georgia Health System is moving ahead with plans for a medical complex in South Hall - and plans to present them to the Hall County Planning Commission (HCPC) next week.

The board will be asked to rezone 112 acres where a 100-bed hospital and other medical amenities are planned along with residential and retail components.

The site is on Thompson Mill Road near Old Winder Highway.

Also on the planners' agenda for Monday's meeting: plans for a 27,000-square-foot shopping center on Winder Highway between Martin and Strickland roads and new subdivisions on Christy Lane, Davis Bridge Road, Lawson Robinson Road, T. Moore Road, and Bill Wilson Road.

Fieldale Farms will ask the board to approve plans for a one-acre parking lot for employee and truck parking in Murrayville on Thompson Bridge Road near Hubert Stephens Road.
