Buford girls get top 10 finish at AA state meet

ALBANY - The Buford girls track team finished eighth at the Class AA state track meet Saturday.<br>
<br>
It was a banner day as a whole for Region 8-AA as Greater Atlanta Christian won the state title.<br>
<br>
Wesleyan finished 13th, Providence Christian 15th, Rabun County 18th, and Lumpkin County 36th giving the 10-team region five teams in the top 20.<br>
<br>
The Lady Wolves were led by Shannon Wilson, who took second in the 100-meters and third in the 200-meters. Buford's Summer Nelson took second in the 800-meters.<br>
<br>
Rabun's Denise Ramey finished fourth in the 800-meters.
