CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Taylor Harbin tied a school record with three doubles as Clemson finished a three-game sweep of Miami with a 6-2 victory on Saturday.

The Tigers (37-19) closed the regular season with nine straight victories and moved past the Hurricanes (38-15-1) into second place in the Atlantic Coast Conference. It was the first time Miami was swept in a three-game series since 2002.

Harbin led Clemson's offense, going 3-for-5 with an RBI. His three doubles gave him 28 for the season, five away from the school record set by San Diego Padres shortstop Khalil Greene in 2002.

Harbin's double into the left field corner in the sixth scored cut Miami's lead to 2-1. Then Tyler Colvin followed with a three-run homer off Miami starter Ricky Orta (6-5) that put Clemson ahead for good, 4-2.

Drew Fiorenza (2-1) worked 1 1-3 innings in relief for the victory. David Kopp pitched two perfect innings for his first save of the year.

Kopp entered in the eighth with Miami runners on first and second. But the reliever got Walter Diaz to ground into a double play. Then Danny Figueroa lined sharply to shortstop Stan Widmann to end the Hurricanes final threat.

(Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
