WASHINGTON - President Bush has honored a teacher from Sugar Hill with a 2004 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Leanne Luttrell, a math teacher at Sycamore Elementary School, is one of only 95 elementary and middle school teachers nationwide, and two from Georgia, to receive the award.

All winners received a $10,000 grant from the National Science Foundation and an all-expense paid trip to Washington for the awards ceremony and other events.
