Other highlights between those two contests at the Georgia Dome will include an Oct. 9 matchup with the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots at home and ABC-televised Monday night matchups on Oct. 24 with the New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 12, both at the Dome.
There also will be a Thanksgiving afternoon game on Nov. 24 against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
In the schedule announced Wednesday, the Falcons will open the preseason versus the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Tokyo Dome and play the last of five exhibition games against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Pro Player Stadium.
