Nearly 100 new housing units planned in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville planners next month will be asked to consider proposals for a 52-unit townhome development and a 42-lot subdivision.

The subdivision is planned on a 22-acre site at Flintridge Road and Limestone Parkway. The townhome project is slated for a seven-acre parcel along Sylvan Wood Lane starting at its intersection with Bradford Street.

Also on the agenda is a Special Use request from Piedmont Laboratories for a 17-acre site on Palmour Drive at Palmour Place. The company plans to use the site for a facility that will be used in filling aerosol cans.

The Gainesville Planning & Appeals Board is are scheduled to consider the proposals May 10.
