Randolph-Clay 80, Southwest Atlanta Christian 65

<p>Randolph-Clay used its superior depth to overwhelm Southwest Atlanta Christian 80-65 Saturday and win the Georgia High School Associations Class A boys championship at the Macon Coliseum.</p><p>The Red Devils finished 29-0, extended their winning streak to 59 games and won their second straight title; Randolph-Clay won Class AA last year, but dropped to a lower classification when the GHSA realigned. Randolph-Clay has won four state championships.</p><p>"It hasn't hit me yet, said Randolph-Clay coach Joe Williams. "We thought we had a chance to win a couple of championships. It's nice to win two in a row."</p><p>Randolph-Clay had five to score in double figures: Shamaine Dukes with 19, Cornelius Price with 17, Rashaad Lewis with 15, Lancie Cannon with 14 and Dexter Ellington with 11.</p><p>Southwest Atlanta Christian, the defending Class A champion, was playing in the final for the third straight season. The Warriors (24-8) were led by junior Jarvaris Crittenton with 29 points.</p><p>Southwest Atlanta coach Courtney Brooks said, "They won the hustle points. Hustle points converted into actual points and that was the difference in the game."</p><p>Southwest Atlanta won last year's title behind Dwight Howard, who went on to become the NBA's No. 1 draft choice last spring.</p>
