MALDEF plans second educational forum

GAINESVILLE - The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) has announced plans for a second Educational Forum this weekend.

The first was held at Gainesville Elementary School January 8.

The forums are designed to explore educational issues facing the Hispanic and African-American communities.

AmonG the topics discussed the last time were college preparation, and after-school activities.

The second session will be Saturday 4:00-6:00 at the Phoenix Academy.
