Etowah looks for first AAAA title

DULUTH - Tagan Hatchett scored 17 points and Alicia Manning 12 as Etowah beat Jones County 47-41 in a Class AAAA state semifinal on Wednesday.<br>

Etowah (26-6) goes for its first state title in Friday's final against Westside-Macon, a 51-47 winner over Stone Mountain in Wednesday's early game.<br>
<br>
The Lady Eagles led 40-30 at the end of the third period and Jones County (30-2) never got closer than four after that. Chimere Jordan scored 18 for the Lady Greyhounds.
