Gasoline prices top $2 a gallon

GAINESVILLE - The price of regular has pushed to the $2 mark and higher in some places in the Gainesville area as gasoline prices continue to climb.

A random check of five convenience stores from the westside of town to the northside early Thursday turned up the highest prices at intown outlets... $2.01 at an intown store.

Prices for midgrade and high-test have been at $2 or better a gallon in the Gainesville area for some time.
